Ted Danson (b. 1947) is an actor who became one of the highest paid performers in television for his role as Sam Malone on Cheers. After his tenure on the famous sitcom, he has starred in a several other television shows. Specially remarkable are the sitcom Becker, the legal drama Damages, Curb Your Enthusiasm and, currently, the HBO comedy Bored to Death and the long-lived CSI.

In 1989, Danson guest starred on The Jim Henson Hour episode 102. In that episode, he performed the voice for a Muppet character, Ted.

In 1995, he starred as Lemuel Gulliver in the Jim Henson Company's TV production of Gulliver's Travels. The following year, Danson starred in the Creature Shop film Loch Ness.
