Ted Danson (b. 1947) is an actor who became one of the highest paid performers in television for his role as Sam Malone on Cheers. After his tenure on the famous sitcom, he has starred in a several other television shows, including the sitcom Becker, the HBO comedy Bored to Death, and the long-running CSI (taking over as lead investigator D.
