Ted Danson (b. 1947) is an actor who became one of the highest paid performers in television for his role as Sam Malone on Cheers. After his tenure on the famous sitcom, he has starred in a several other television shows, including the sitcom Becker, the HBO comedy Bored to Death, and the long-running CSI (taking over as lead investigator D. B. Russell from 2011 onward). For the first season of Damages, he played primary client Arthur Frobisher (appearing occasionally thereafter) and had a recurring stint on Curb Your Enthusiasm as himself.
- During the credits of the Sesame Street computer game Grover's Travels, a vocal outtake of the Twiddleputian Governor has him remarking about the giant Grover, "Funny, it doesn't look like Ted Danson" (referencing Danson's role in the 1995 adaptation of the story).
