The Houses appeared in really short sketches that were shown every once in awhile during the first season of The Muppet Show. Their sketches lasted a few seconds long and involved one of them making some kind of pun. The Houses never appeared outside of their sketches, so it's unclear how big or small they are compared to the other muppets (nor is it clear how big or small they are supposed to be). The Houses appeared in the first season only.
