Talking Heads is a rock band featuring David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison that disbanded in 1988.

Kermit the Frog performed their hit song "Once in a Lifetime" in episode 109 of Muppets Tonight. In the scene, Kermit wears a suit too large for him (it was made for the unseen guest performer Giganticus) that parodies the suit David Byrne wore on stage and in music videos.

The Talking Heads song "Wild Wild Life" was featured during a montage of clips in the Jim Henson Hour Pitch Reel.
