Congress
I'm trying to remember how many times the Muppets have appeared on Capitol Hill. Kermit's got at least two, I know Elmo has one, and I want to say Grover did as well, but I might be thinking of a university appearance -- or maybe he did both and I'm confused. We should start a list here and break it out to its own article if there are enough of them. —Scott (talk) 03:44, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, as far as I can determine, Grover never has, just universities. Here's the link to Elmo's visit: House of Representatives Appropriations Committee Hearing. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:36, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- And here's a nice NY Times article from 1988 about what appears to be Kermit's first visit to Capitol Hill, when Jim was still alive; he didn't actually appear before Congress, but spoke with congressmen at a press conference advocating child seatbelt awareness. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:40, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
