Talk:W.I.L.D.
Back to page
Added by ScarecroeThere was an article about this in a magazine that was posted to the Tough Pigs Forum some time back, but I don't have access to the text. -- Scarecroe 00:10, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know what article it was, but I recently came across this The Wild. While it's possible "The Environmental Show" was the intended title, ala The Animal Show, "Wild" sounds like the same project, and I suspect the puppet shown is Ponce D. Lion. Anyone have any other info on this? --Andrew Aleal 22:00, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Scott, Sorry for the late reply. I think that the image of Jim and the two lizards (Who we actually had names for... I think I posted it on the TP Forum, although I cant remember them now!) was a publicity image for the show at that time. The article comes from TV Guide (November 17 - 23 1990. Vol 38, No 46.) There is nothing said about the show, Only the image and an article about Jims death and what will happen to the company. It mentions Gulliver's Travels, Greek Myths and Mother Goose Stories. -- Warrick ' 'Warrick 15:22, 7 March 2006 (UTC)' '
- I've been in touch with Jean-Guy White, and he says W.I.L.D. was the name of the TV station on the show and the working title of the show itself. He couldn't recall what the acronym stood for, however. I'm going to go ahead and move the article unless we can find something in print more conclusive. -- Scott Scarecroe 21:37, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
