Talk:Vikings

From Muppet Wiki

Should this page even exist? Unless there's another group of Vikings I've missed, I'm assuming this page is referring to the "In the Navy" sketch with Link Hogthrob and other pigs. We don't have a page for any other costumed group pig roles from The Muppet Show (though individual pig roles, like The Swedish Pig, deserve a space), or even the pig businessmen in The Muppet Christmas Carol. Given the existence of the Character Variants category, that seems a better place for this kind of article, eventually (unless there's enough to say about the Vikings as distinct from pigs; I mean, I created Rosenthal so maybe I shouldn't be too picky). Thoughts? --Andrew, Aleal 23:53, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Beats me. I think Scott was on crack that day. -- Danny Toughpigs 01:01, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I think he means the Viking Whatnots from MCJH. "You said you wanted a Viking number." "I said a biking number!" And like that. --GrantHarding 01:19, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Then the article should specify. But did those Vikings ever show up *as* Vikings on The Muppet Show? This page is listed under "Muppet Show Characters," and the porkers were the only Vikings I knew of from that show. --Andrew, Aleal 01:23, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I concur. --GrantHarding 01:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm sure I just made the page as an info dump with the intention of expanding later. Like every other page. I gues smy point was that there were Vikings in TMS and Vikings in MCJH. -- Scott Scarecroe 01:30, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I hear there are also Vikings in Minnesota, if you feel like adding that in. -- Danny Toughpigs 01:32, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I guess that helps. I'll note that the first Vikings were the pigs in a production number. (That said, a page tracking "International Pork Barrels: Pigs Cover the Globe" could be fun). --Andrew, Aleal 01:35, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
