Can anyone tell me if the season 2 DVD, like the season 1 DVD (in at LEAST the UK release), has French audio? Then maybe add it to the wiki page. Because both DVDs so far list English, so why not complete the lists? -- User:Zapzupnz 18 March 2008

video qualityEdit

Comparison of "How Could You Believe Me" between the Disney DVD release and recent European TV broadcasts. —Scott (talk) 00:01, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

How recent are these "recent European TV broadcasts"? -- Brad D. (talk) 00:09, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm not entirely sure, but within the past 5 years. —Scott (talk) 00:44, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

More InfoEdit

I added a link to a Muppet Central review of this set. Should we include info about the set that's revealed in the review, or would it be better to wait until it officially comes out (just in case there are changes made before it hits stores)? --Minor muppetz 02:47, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Apart from the unedited status of the set, and the repetition of the one song, I don't see anything there which isn't already on the page. I don't think it matters either way when you add those details, considering how short a wait we have left. Additional changes seem unlikely at this point, but if there are, it can be corrected or added. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 02:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, this page currently doesn't mention the fact that Kermit and Fozzie appear on the disc 1 and 2 main menus, while Animal and Rizzo appear in the disc 3 and 4 menus, or the fact that the episodes have chapter stops (unlike on the first season set), or mention that the disc art is different from what was shown in the preview. --Minor muppetz 02:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
I think we should include everything. The review copies are the same as what's going to hit the stores. -- Danny (talk) 03:17, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
What's the repeated song? —Scott (talk) 03:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
"English Country Garden." The review discusses how it ended up on two episodes, Elton John and Jaye P. Morgan. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 03:53, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Does that mean that something else got cut? -- Danny (talk) 12:40, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

No, it just means that the segment was somehow added to an episode, and included twice on the set. The review mentiosn the only edits being the original closing ITC logos. --Minor muppetz 14:40, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Oh, how weird. Well, feel free to add anything to the article that you think is interesting. -- Danny (talk) 14:48, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Release DateEdit

The release date is August 7th! http://www.ultimatedisney.com/index.htm Where to add? SarahOnBway 18:05, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

That's awesome! I added it to the article. -- Danny (talk) 18:25, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Release date for UK too!!! Don't know about other UK readers but I'll definitely be INSIDE this Guy Fawkes night...:-) TDS 00:01, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Weird CitationEdit

It is said in this article that Dinosaurs: The Complete Third and Fourth Season features a trailer for this set, and cites The Muppet Newsflash as a source for this. Is this really neccessary now, especially considering that Dinosaurs: The Complete Third and Fourth Season is now available to buy on DVD? --Minor muppetz 22:02, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

No, not now that it's been released, I agree. —Scott (talk) 22:05, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Reasons for delayEdit

Brad cleaned up the article, which is great. I took out this sentence, because I'm not comfortable with posting "alleged" facts without a citation:

"The long gap between Season one (August 2005) and Season two ("summer 2007") were allegedly due to the large amount of legal clearances, technical work and material creation needed, coupled with management change and long-term marketing schemes."

What's the source for that assertion? Who's alleging it? A quote would help. -- Danny (talk) 11:06, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I would assume it's from a recent post by Greg (Muppet News Flash) on Muppet Central. http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showpost.php?p=489765&postcount=63 --Gribbaziggy 18:46, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
If that's the case, then that's not a good enough source for behind-the-scenes information. -- Danny (talk) 18:53, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I got the information from [1][2][3]... -- Brad D. (talk) 19:42, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

SpeculationEdit

Original advertised disc art
ScarecroeAdded by Scarecroe

Hope I haven't taken too much of a liberty, but I removed the text from this frankly pointless page, or so it seems to me, which would appear to be speculation. Here it is for the record. If anyone can actually source any of this, feel free to do so and fix it, but as is, it was all personal speculation, and very NPOV (especially the list of skits the user apparently hates). --Andrew, Aleal

[Text deleted by Danny Toughpigs 00:18, 28 January 2006 (UTC)]

Dean, I'm confused. Was the page in anyway legitimate, and has a DVD been announced with a Jim Henson Retrospective, or are you playing around? (Methinks mayhaps I should have just left it for Danny or Scott). Andrew, Aleal 23:53, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Um...what? Dean, you obviously have no real information. Stop making nonsense up. Scooter 00:13, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Disney was supposed to add the Jim Henson Retrospective to the Muppet Show Season 1 DVD but never did. -- Dean Deanmo19
That's not what I'm talking about. The disc art, street date, features and omissions from the disc are all speculation. That's not allowed here.Scooter 00:18, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Just to clarify, the page was all speculation, so I'd blanked it, but posted the info here for the record, as I've often seen done. Then Dean utterly bewildered me by editing that info (though he only added the Jim Henson retrospective bit, and formatted the links with episode info). Andrew, Aleal 00:33, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
We don't know what the features will (or will not) be. Even the speculated other pilot, retrospecive, more muppet morsels, etc... we just don't know anything. Saying "should be" is very subjective and not is a very non-point-of view stance. It is 100% speculation and not approprate here. Likewise the should be edits, the might-de disc/cover art, or anything else like that. As a matter of fact, we do not ever know if this product is even coming. (It should be coming), but Disney has yet to officialy state anything about it actually coming. We should delete this page until we get an official statement from Disney, and we should leave out all the subjective and unbased specualtion. -- BradFraggle 00:57, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Hey guys: Just to clarify... The person who originally posted the nonsense and speculation was an anonymous user: User:207.200.116.198. Dean's edits on this talk page were unnecessary, but he was just doing what he does everywhere -- cleaning up information, and clarifying links. Usually, that's a very helpful thing, and Dean is a good wiki citizen. It's just in this case that he accidentally corrected info that didn't need to be corrected.
Anyway, I've posted a couple messages on the anonymous user's talk page, including a vandalism warning. Andrew, you've done a great job catching vandals tonight! -- Danny Toughpigs 04:00, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
I deleted the text because apparently it's too tempting, I guess. The person who posted it originally came back and updated it a couple times today. I'll keep locking out the guy's IP addresses. -- Danny Toughpigs 00:18, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
