Talk:Terry Jones

In December, Greg added this passage: "He co-wrote a draft of the script for Labyrinth, though little of his material beyond the point where Sarah eats the enchanted peach came from his work." Is there any proof of this? Jones receives sole screen credit for the screenplay (IMDb claims Elaine May did uncredited "script doctoring," but that's yet to be verified). There *is* an undated "early draft" floating on the internet, by Jones and Laura Phillips, as transcribed here and elsewhere, but that doesn't strike me as conclusive proof that it's the only draft Jones contributed. The only other source I could find for such a statement is the IMDb trivia page, which again, I don't think should be taken as truth unless *another* source (interview, press notes, etc.) verifies it. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

The original statement as written doesn't even make sense -- too many "his" in there. Elaine May is listed on our Labyrinth page also; if it is unverified IMDB info it should probably be removed for now. As for Jones, I'm downright confused. I assume, from the credits, that he wrote the final script; why else give him sole credit? The existence of an earlier script says nothing about who sat down and wrote the final one. And how would anyone determine which of the two co-authors had which idea in the early script anyhow? -- Wendy (talk) 20:08, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
