Talk:SkekSo

I have the book The Making of the Dark Crystal, and it says, "A few leading roles had been assigned well in advance of shooting. Jim Henson would enact Jen, the dying Emperor, and the Ritual-Master." But here Dave Goelz is credited for doing the puppetry for the Emperor. Is there a source for this, or was it just assumed? -- Mary Catherine (talk) 17:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- I thought Jim performed SkekSo as well; looks like I'll get to watch the movie again and pay attention during the credits. Chunk 18:04, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- That'd be helpful. I would have done it, but sadly, I don't own the movie! I looked up The Dark Crystal on IMDB today, and Dave is credited for the Emperor there as well; however, IMDB is not a very trustworthy source. The film credits would be the best place to check. -- Mary Catherine (talk) 04:27, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- The thing is, the film credits, which I have handy, don't actually credit a puppeteer for the emperor. They only list his voice, Jerry Nelson, as "Dying Emperor." Jim Henson is credited for puppeteering Jen and the other Nelson voiced role, the high priest (rital-master), and Goelz as Fizzgig and the general. So I'd go ahead and change it to Henson, and perhaps mention the source as a note, maybe even with the full quote. Andrew Leal (talk) 04:35, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- I made the change. Thanks for the help, guys! -- Mary Catherine (talk) 05:55, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
