"Sign Man"

Do any of the Sesame animation experts (Guillermo, Andrew, etc) know anything about who created these shorts? The animator might give a clue as to how this article may best be named. It was started by a user whose only contribution so far has been this page. —Scott (talk) 19:39, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I have no clue, though possibly the CTW archives might have something (they have sections with storyboards and stuff for the animated segments; I don't think Danny really delved into those, but if all goes well, I'm hoping to take a trip to Maryland myself after graduation). Frankly, I wouldn't have created the article myself. It's not even like The Typewriter, where we know the name is made up but it's circulated heavily in fan websites and such. I think I'd be in favor of moving this to something like "Sign Cartoons" or something, where it's clearer we're just using the best label we can come up with and not an official title. Two of these cartoons were included in Old School: Volume 2, and the chapter stops use the word "sounds" at the end of them ("Burp Sounds", "Taxi Sounds"). This might be helpful, though still a bit hard to tell what they really are called. --Minor muppetz 17:58, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
