Hey, good call. I don't think we've had that noted anywhere else, so thanks for adding! Graphics?

I've noticed that this page seems to be more about Sesame Street's opening and closing graphics than the actual theme. While I personally find those interesting in their own right, I don't think they belong here, and I don't know if they're important enough to warrant a page of their own. I just went over to the page for The Muppet Show Theme, and that seems to be laid out in kind of the same way, with descriptions of the visual aspects of the opening and closing themes. Other than that, I can't think of another way to discuss either show's themes, since we can't post song lyrics. -- Ken (talk) 05:32, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Actually, the tune has been redone a bunch of times -- most notably the "calypso" version in the mid-90s. It would be nice to have some info on that. We could also have more about the creation of the theme, if we can dig up some backstage info. Were there other, rejected ideas? How was it recorded? Stuff like that.

So that stuff could be on the page, but nobody's done it yet. I think the info on the visuals belongs here, but it would be nice if it could be balanced by more information on the song itself, whenever somebody has the resources and the time to add it. -- Danny (talk) 12:04, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks guys...on second thought, I believe that the article's scope is fine the way it is. It could use a bit of expansion and fine-tuning, though. I went ahead and made an effort at tidying up and straightening out the opening and closing info today. Incidentally, I once made an effort myself at documenting the visuals in chart form, although given that I depended on hearsay and old newsgroup posts on more than one occasion, I will not vouch for its accuracy! --Andrew T. 17:06, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
