Listing Monsters

Are we only listing monsters who have significant parts on Sesame Street? In other words, are we listing only notable characters? I first thought that the characters on this page had more than one appearance on the show. It appears that not every monster from Category: Sesame Street Monsters is on this list, so that is what brought up this question. Matt H. (talk) 21:26, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I think the only more or less intentional exception is that we have a bunch of illustrated-only monsters (so if we included them here, which we could if somebody really feels like doing so, they'd really work better in their own section). The original goal of this page (stated somewhere or other in the conversation that led to this, reworked from a "Monsters by Color" thing) was mainly as a gallery to help identify monsters when somebody remembers a character but not by name (and since in several cases, the article uses either the first or most common name but the puppet was mainly a utility character; for example, a friend of mine always thinks of and would identify Beautiful Day Monster only as "Lulu"). Omissions are really just a reflection of the fact that it's a lot easier to add a category tag than it is to remember to update a gallery, so feel free to work on it, Matt! -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:53, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

Purple monster

I think we've probably figured this out already, but I forget... what's the name of the purple monster in the bottom left of this album cover?
