Sondheim on Sondheim
Edit
I just saw Sondheim on Sondheim on Broadway, and there's a montage of YouTube clips of both celebrities and amateurs singing "Send in the Clowns," including Judy Collins, who made the song a hit in the first place. I'm 99% sure that the clip they use of Judy is from The Muppet Show with the Muppet clowns cropped out. Can anyone confirm? -- Peter (talk) 05:20, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Is there a link to the clip? The Muppet Show clip is on Youtube. —Scott (talk) 06:16, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
- I haven't been able to find the clip from the musical (which, really, they should put online; it would be a great promotional tool), but I checked the Muppet Show clip, and the composition is nearly identical, with Judy on the left side of the screen, facing right, just blackness in the background. I just wish I was able to do a side-by-side(-by-Sonhdeim *rimshot*) to confirm. -- Peter (talk) 16:09, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
Louise Gold
Edit
Of course British actress Louise Gold, has also sung this song on stage. - when she played "Millie" in the 1999 Chelmsford revival of Side By Side By Sondheim. But she's probably not a well known enough name to count as one of the "likes of" people. Emma 21:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
