Robot vs Machine
With the addition of Otto the Automatic Entertainer, I figured we had enough robots to make a page (and I've been increasingly obsessed with the wonderful world of Muppet objects). A general point to raise is whether items like the Automatic Wastebasket, or the talking machine in the "Monster vs. Machine" sketch count as robots. I'm inclined to include them, when/as they get added, but thought it worth discussing here in advance. Since inventions like that to my mind go beyond, say, Muppet Furniture or The Singing Food. They're not just sentient objects, they're objects designed to be intelligent and talk, and like the best Muppet robots, they usually explode or eat someone. This is also a good place to stick any robots that may surafce in the illustrated books, and I'm including both actual puppets and those which might come closer to being considered props. --Andrew, Aleal 02:36, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's a fun idea. I agree with everything you said; this should include any Muppet Labs type talking machines. -- Danny Toughpigs 02:38, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- This is awesome. I was just going to create such a page after adding Robot Kermit #2, only to find you already did it. I don't know what the Automatic Wastebasket is, but I'm sure it and the talking machine from Monster vs. Machine will find a happy home here. -- Scott Scarecroe 02:41, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- That's awesome. I added two more to Today on Muppet Wiki. This is a nice wiki moment. -- Danny Toughpigs 03:25, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
