Okay, I get delinking Zeus, although I don't agree, as we have far sillier links on the page (neighborhood, anyone?) But why no Earth? -- Peter (talk) 03:38, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Earth is linked in the header text. If we have to, we can rename the index header Extraterrestrial Planets, since that's really the central focus of the article. Earth has its own article, and this is intended to be more like the Moon, listing all the planets Muppets have visited or alien Muppets have come from. I don't think Earth really fits in that. And Scott removed the Zeus link because Jupiter will have its own page eventually (we have a couple of solid references), so linking to Zeus now just confuses things. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 03:42, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think I have a scan of it in that book where Gonzo visits the planets, and there's Selma Worm's longing for it. I think that's enough, unless we want to mention it all here, which we could. In which case we could mention the Zeus thing here (there's already a link to theological figures in the header text, though). I'm all for creative linking, but in a *list* of planets, I'd rather it go to the actual thing whenever possible. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:03, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, actually, it's already *in* the picture on Neptune, the tiny blip behind Saturn. The text states that Gonzo "boinged" there after Mars (and apparently that's where he daydreams about Doorknob World, which I need to scan). That's it, but that's two refs and an image, and possibly more, and we can bring up the whole Zeus thing there. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:10, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I re-read the book, and it's apparently supposed to be Jupiter, though that's not obvious from the image alone. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 12:16, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I still say Earth should be listed. Mentioning and linking something in the entry copy has never meant that we couldn't include and link that information in a list. I understand what you're saying about your intent for the article, but Earth is, after all, a planet. -- Peter (talk) 14:09, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I changed the header. Happy? -- Andrew Leal (talk) 14:20, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
