[[File:Os Muppets (The Muppet Show) Brazilian Portugese Intro (Season One)|thumb|300px|right|Season 1 Intro]]

Well, it's been a few weeks and I haven't had time to fix this yet. DrillbitTaylor added a video, but that only proves that the title wasn't Os Muppets either, per voice over! (It did pinpoint a source though; the video was uploaded by the Infantv website, one of those "retro" websites focusing on Brazilian children's shows or dubs, and some other nostalgia programming, and I know they research carefully and use interviews with dubbers and studios). Half the voices on this page were not on the Wikipedia page nor are they on that website. At this point, before any misinformation is copied elsewhere, I'm just going to nuke the whole thing, park what's here (minus Briggs, since that's definitely false without doing any further research), and when I get a chance (or a Brazilian contributor can), we can recreate with only confirmed info. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:29, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Cleaning up[]

This is a sort of general note. I talked to User:Drillbit_Taylor who created the page as Os Marretas, and he used bits from the Portuguese Wikipedia page (the page here) and he says his other source was a YouTube video of the opening (and I have no idea what video; all I could find for Os Marretas was actually the English version but with Portuguese text. As a result, a lot of this page is either inaccurate, unsourced, or confused between the Brazilian Portuguese and the Portuguese they speak in Portugal. A

ll of the voice actors listed are Brazilian, but it's unclear from the Portuguese-language Wikipedia which of these were used in the show (and they have other names listed there which the user left out) or which from the movies (the general page on The Muppets has a laundry list including voices from movies, series, Sesame dubs, etc.) The character name translations? Several, such as those for Sam and I'm pretty sure for Bunsen, are unique to Portugal, not Brazil, but paired with the Brazilian voices. At least some of the names clearly indicate a recent redub, either for TV or most likely by Disney for the DVD season releases, since they're people who worked on Disney redubs of the original movies and who, like Guilherme Briggs weren't old enough to have participated in the dubs for the first Brazilian TV airings.

And so on. We might even have to delete the page, but for now, this is basically a note that the whole page needs sourcing and reworking, which I'll do as I can. So any Brazilian users out there, feel free to help us out! Otherwise, take any info here with a grain of salt and please don't add it to other pages (like the International character pages) until we know for sure. Thanks! -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:34, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
