Merge?Edit

Should this be merged with Optioned Properties? Or was this actually commissioned by JHC/TriStar? -- Zanimum 00:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

And it's not an optioned property but was an original concept in development at Henson, as the article states (or rather, it doesn't specify "original" but it doesn't claim that it was based on anything or bought from anyone, so it's not an optioned property). So that's different. The bulk of the optioned properties never went anywhere beyond buying the rights, while this went into at least two drafts and we have names and specifics, even if it's not the longest article on the Wiki. If someone wanted to start up a "Henson Screenplay/Concepts" list or something to merge any articles of this kind, though, I wouldn't oppose, but it does not belong in Optioned Properties. And frankly, looking around, there's this and The Italian Film, as far as similar lengths, but they weren't at the same levels of development. I guess we could have a kind of "Miscellaneous Unfinished Movies" list but I think that would actually be worse and harder to browse through and find things (especially since, in contrast to most of the optioned things, the titles really mean nothing to the casual viewer, while some but not all of the optioned projects were reasonably well known books or plays or whatnot). So as long as they're not one sentence, and since some of these also fit into other categories, I think for now it doesn't hurt to have a few shorter articles documenting these odds and ends. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 05:14, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
