This tie-in was huge way back in 2002. This article has been looming, but I've never really felt like tackling it because it's NASCAR. The Muppets appeared at a big press rally, there was tons of merch, there was a planned appearance at one of the races that got cancelled and commercials for UPS, and frog knows what else. If anyone wants to take a stab at all that, please go for it. Sesame Street's also got a spoof coming up this season. —Scott (talk) 02:40, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

I've got a whole bunch of the merchandise pics stacked away, and a list of the 2002 drivers, muppets, and cars involved which I basically put together when I was hunting down some of the merchandise (shortly before I said "this is insane" and quit looking). Also there was a single Muppets car (and associated merchandise) at the 2006 Daytona 500; that appearance is also tied to these jackets. And I think there's an Elmo car that showed up at some point for a charity event maybe? But yeah, I've been overwhelmed at making it into anything cohesive; I know very little at all about NASCAR. -- Wendy (talk) 02:51, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
