A new contributor started this article today who has since verified the information with me via email. I don't think this is something that many (or any at all) Muppet fans know about, but I thought I'd keep an open talk page for a little bit to give folks a chance to see this. If anyone finds anything, please let us know. β€”Scott (talk) 01:32, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure whether this is relevant to the wiki or not. It doesn't sound like it was actually commissioned by the magazine, so at the end of the day, isn't it really just fan art that happened to be produced by a professional illustrator? -- Danny (talk) 02:58, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
It's more than just fan art if it was professionally produced for publication in a magazine. It belongs here just as much as Muppet comics (John Byrne), American Mayhem or Kermit, Prince of Denmark. β€”Scott (talk) 03:30, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
From the sound of it, the magazine itself was considering the prospects but unable to clear the legal hurdles, right? If so, American Mayhem is far more fannish (as an unauthorized pitch later shown to Henson), and if not, then they're on par (and the artwork here's more interesting!). -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:04, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh, that's a good point. Okay, there's a precedent then. -- Danny (talk) 04:26, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
If I may add my tuppence here, the 'Look-in' page would have been commissioned. Though I am uncertain of the exact circumstances that prevented an agreement being reached. I recently tracked down two of the 'Look-in' staff - one editorial, one art dept - who worked on the title around this time, and hope to interview them soon. Shaquiuk 06:25, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
