I don't think so; he was similar, but had a blue nose and different eyes. The one who checked MC was a purple grouch puppet used sometimes as a monster; I don't know if the one here was built from scratch or the same grouch puppet with different features. -- MuppetDude 17:23, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Just for the record, belatedly spotting this, I'm pretty sure the Muppet in question was built from scratch. I got the info and image from Michael Schupbach's website, listing himself as both designer and builder, and I don't see a reason to doubt it. He doesn't really resemble a Grouch puppet. --Andrew, Aleal
