Roadrunner series scripts
More info parking. Way back in 2007, when I joined Danny for a trip to the CTW Archives, we found a bunch of scripts for segments with the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote. No new animation, but rather edited footage from different shorts (mostly directed by Chuck Jones, but I think a few of the Abe Levitow entries were included; none of the ugly Rudy Larriva entries for DePatie Freleng). The "short script" as noted was supplied by Warner Bros. and specifically attributed to Hal Geer, who had been an editor on the shorts, worked on some of the TV packages and wrote or produces many of the later specials. The only really new material is voice-over narration by Bugs Bunny, which if these were finished, would have been done by Mel Blanc, of course. We'd photocopied more but I took those to scan myself, and tragically lost the backpack containing the folder (and other possessions) at a train station midstream. This is the only one left, calling for footage from Jones' 1962 short Zoom at the Top.
Anyway, long story short, nothing in our current collection of episode listings and guides includes these bits, they don't circulate, the date is missing from the scan below, and we have no idea if they aired. Since some new Roadrunner segments did appear on The Electric Company, probably around the same time, it's likely they did air, but it would be nice if we had confirmation in some form. So parking for now, but anyone should feel free to work this info into the article, specifying perhaps that the scripts exist, since right now that's all we've confirmed. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 06:27, August 20, 2013 (UTC)
I seem to recall another Looney Tunes reference on Muppet Babies, but can't recall the episode title and its been years since I watched it. Baby Animal was in the Road Runner role (I believe they referred to him as "the Road Crawler") and Baby Gonzo was Wile E. Coyote. Anyone remember this? --- Jon Cooke
