Do we need it?
- Well, this isn't really my area, but I'm curious how background a person can be and still get a page. If we don't want to create pages for every single person, can we put people like this into some kind of "Background Puppeteers" page, or is there a section for that somewhere? -- Ken (talk) 21:41, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- I dunno, I was probably just being too harsh. As Ken pointed out, we do have other background puppeteers on the wiki, and I'm not really prepared to go through them all and figure out who to keep right now. This page is fine; sorry for the false alarm. :) -- Danny (talk) 17:55, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's why we have Muppet Puppeteers versus Performers anyway, for background, major assistants, silent suit performers, or anyone who puppeteered but did not do voices. In the past, we've generally judged these only with an eye towards whether the involvement was sourced and the page itself was adequately developed. Tim Burton is here because he was an uncredited background performer on The Muppet Movie, and even if he's famous now, his page isn't that different and even less than others. I figure the categories make the distinction, but it could probably be reworded a bit here. I'll go through the category later and see which pages can be beefed up, since most can. -- 22:51, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
