Georgina?Edit

This page has been a complete blank, outside of image, for months, and now I'm beginning to wonder if even the name is correct. From a 1979 corporate report, as discovered by Danny in the CTW archives, we have Georgina, who seems identical to Judy. Scott, any ideas? Where did you find the image for "Judy" and the name? The scan and the name Judy comes from an issue of Sesame Street Magazine. I sent all my copies to Danny to be farmed, so if you're looking for confirmation, he's got it.

Did the magazine have any details on the character, or just image and name only? This was from a corporate report, and as you can see from the caption, uses language which suggests that she'd already appeared on the show. Also, it seems Judy is sometimes a nickname for "Georgina." Thus why I wanted to know what if any context was given in the magazine. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:41, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

I've never heard of Judy being short for Georgina, just Judith. I've scanned over a few name etymology sites and haven't found a connection. But I'm still looking. — Scott (talk) 04:46, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, it seems unusual. But I found some credits for people named "Georgina 'Judy' Smith" and the like. Anyway, I'll ask Danny, if he can find it and can find the date. Plus, it would be nice if this page actually contained text. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:59, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

I agree. I'm sure I added the picture here figuring someone with a healthier Sesame episodes collection would know something about the character, such as performer, etc. I honestly can't remember if there was any other text accompanying her picture and name or not. — Scott (talk) 05:14, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
