The French ErnieEdit

This is probably going to be one of those Unsolved Mysteries of Muppet Wiki, but who voiced Ernie and when for France? According to the Wiki itself, Claude Sonneville only voiced Ernie in Les Chansons de Rue Sesame, the first Sesame album. But in Ernest et Bart Recoivent Leurs Amis, it's Phillipe Dumat, noted French dub actor who also voiced Scorpius in Farscape. Both albums are from 1978, but Chansons came first and has completely different voices listed for every US Muppet. At a guess, since the two albums have different voices for most of the characters, and "Ernest et Bart" has Francis Lax who according to the French Wikipedia dubbed Grover on the series, I suspect it was Dumat on the series and Sonneville only in the one album. If anybody knows for certain, any real-life French people especially, please chime in. I'll probably just list both and specify the albums and leave it at that (besides, I have a photo for Dumat, and can't find a thing for Sonneville). Andrew Leal (talk) 01:21, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, the article says that Les Chansons de 1, Rue Sésame was the first album produced. My guess would be that that first album is the odd one out, and the other performers are the regulars. -- Danny (talk) 01:49, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
