Should we mege and redirect Bees, Butterflies and Ants here? Or should we list those insects in both places? -- Brad D. (talk) 05:13, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

I'd say keep as is. Bees and Ants aren't lists but disambiguation pages, and for that purpose, it works better than trying to find them here, where it's all alphabetical and the types can't be easily located at first glance. Only Butterflies might make sense, but even then, the info on that page can't easily be merged here as it stands, without making it harder for searching and browsing purposes. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 05:34, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Then would it be wrong to create similar disambig pages for caterpillars, wasps, beetles, or flies? -- Brad D. (talk) 05:39, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't know if they're needed. The reason for those disambigs is because of multiple pages labeled "Bee (Such and such)"; that's the point of disambiguation pages, for articles which would otherwise have the same name, not about the same species. If we're just talking about different characters who are beatles or wasps, just make that a redirect to here. Flies might be useful, but I don't have time to look at it. Off the top of my head, I think there's only Horace D'Fly and Fly in a Matchbox, and they don't need a disambiguation. And as for wasps. I checked, and only one even has an article, an unnamed wasp, and the others have names but no articles. So right now, only a Caterpillars disambig might make sense (to include Caterpillar and The Caterpillar (though if there's only two, it makes more sense to just have a "see also" for easy navigation than create a disambig; looking again at Ants, now that this page exists, that might be done here), but nothing like Gustav). Another option would be to simply reorganize this page by types. I still don't think it's worth dumping the two disambig pages we have, but it would prevent creating more if they're not needed. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 01:51, March 15, 2008
I agree with Andrew. —Scott (talk) 21:18, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
