Isn't this Cab singing "Minnie the Moocher", or is this a seperate song? Minnie is the song with the "Hidey hidey hidey hi" chrous. Scooter 01:04, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

No. You're right, Minnie also had that chorus, and this song, which is entirely different, was Calloway's response to that popularity, as far as I can tell. They couldn't exactly use "Minnie" on Sesame Street, without severely altering the lyrics. This one is more innocuous. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 01:09, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. And about Minnie's content, sure it was littered witrh cocaine and prostitution refrences, but don't forget Sesame covered Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds. ;) Scooter
Yeah, but that doesn't have lines like "when she was cokey" and so on, or a tragic death. Not as far as I could discern, anyway. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 01:34, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Just to reiterate, because I started the article: It's a different song. The "hi de hi de hi"s are slightly different. -- Ryan (talk) 05:47, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
