Does anyone who has this book know if any of the stories were inspired by those in Kipling's collection, Just So Stories? -- Peter (talk) 17:12, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I think it's a given that the tone and style were inspired by Kipling. The cover image here is tiny, but stories include "How the Honker Got His Honk." So yeah, no specific parallels I'd imagine, but the general concept, explaining why Sesame Street critters are the way they are, is based on Kipling's work. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:14, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
