Importance of Duwner's voice
I wanted to do an edit, but I'm sure that my language capability in English is too bad.
Anyway, what I wanted to say is, that
- in Germany, Duwner's voice became the main corporate identity of Ernie (because of it's very high range and Duwner's special way to laugh). There are also very much parodies of Ernie with a "Duwner-style" voice.
- Duwner's name is mostly unknown by the most people, but the very most of them have heard it and would recognise it as the voice of Ernie.
- Duwner's voice is regarded as the most important and significant voice in the Sesamstraße.--84.57.95.205 01:19, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Some of what you say seems obvious to me, and not necessary to state; if Ernie is an important character for Sesamstraße, then the voice would be very well-recognized and important for the show even if nobody knows the actor himself. Is there a source for your first fact, that he was chosen based on his high voice and distinctive laugh? That seems like it might be good to add. -- Wendy (talk) 17:23, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I have to correct myself:
- Duwner's name is mostly unknown by the most people, but the very most of them know his voice and would recognise it as the voice of Ernie, although he has synchronized an awful lot of films.
- in Germany, Duwner's voice became the main unique part of Ernie for the most of Sesamstraße viewers (because of it's natural very high range, the laughing is copied from the original). There are also very much parodies of Ernie with a "Duwner-style" voice, although Ernie has a newer voice since more than twelve years.--84.57.93.39 22:43, 10 October 2006 (UTC) (same as 84.57.95.205)
