Five Sesame Street Stories
Hey, I just bought a copy of Five Sesame Street Stories today, and I reviewed it, and I noticed the narrator for the Super Grover stories sounds a lot like Gary Owens. It sounds very much like Space Ghost or Powdered Toast Man. Unfortunately, they do not have a voice cast list at the end of the credits, and I was able to recognize Frank Oz, Fran Brill and Caroll Spinney's voices. Is anyone else sure that Gary Owens narrated this video before we can mention it? --Wile e2005 21:00, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's not him in the least, just a voice actor with a similar "announcer"-style delivery (of whom there have been dozens over the years; Owens is just the best known). -- Andrew Leal (talk) 23:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. Be sure to check out my future RetroJunk article about that video I grew up with as a kid!
Oh, and the narrator for "Big Bird Brings Spring to Sesame Street" sounds a lot like Fran Brill. Given that she did the female voices in this video, it is most likely her. --Wile e2005 23:23, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
