Woodland Animals

There are ten total woodland animals in this number, and I'm having a little trouble identifying three of them. I think one of them is a mouse, but I haven't seen that puppet elsewhere on The Muppet Show. Another looks like the Beaver that gnawed through Gonzo's flagpole on episode 217, but without its buck teeth. The one I'm having the hardest time identifying, however, is the species of the animal in the tree on the right hand of the screen. It could be a raccoon, but it seems too skinny...maybe a weasel? A mink? Thoughts? Has this puppet ever been used elsewhere? -- Peter (talk) 18:54, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Well a beaver without teeth might be a woodchuck or groundhog... Beavers should have big teeth. My thought on the skinny animal in the tree was fox or mink but you've already got a fox; I'm trying to remember what Maureen the Mink looked like but I can't. I don't think it looks much like this weasel at anyrate. -- Wendy (talk) 18:08, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Only one of the verses is from the original song, the other two were written specifically for this sketch. Do we know who wrote the newer lyrics? — Joe (talk) 01:20, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

The Muppet Show 2, Muppet Hits Take 2 and the Henson Archives only credit Stills. —Scott (talk) 01:28, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
