Blast these partial episode guides! I want to know who owns the garage!! The traditions of comedy suggest that it is neither Gordon nor Mr. Hooper. My guess (based on absolutely no sources) would be Oscar, because the one thing that everyone can agree upon is that it needs paint, but Oscar wouldn't. But alas, it does not say.
Also: where do we get air dates from? Because the nhk guides obviously don't have u.s. air dates, and at some point there are holidays and pledge breaks so we can't just count the days from the last episode we knew. Do old issues of tv guide have such details? -- StreetScenes 23:11, March 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I added it by looking at other episodes before this, which would've aired consecutively on weekdays. The week this aired in started on November 16, 1970 (when Episode 0136 aired), as Episode 0135 aired on the 13th. ---- Jesse (talk) 23:23, March 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, actually, TV Guide used to give little synopses every day from the first day until 12/1/72 (Episode 0410). I've never looked into them closely to see how accurate they were, though. And I think they've always shown the show on holidays, and pledge breaks didn't start affecting things until the 1980's. As far as I can tell from what we've worked on so far, in the early days, each season they ran all 130 shows straight through, and then ran them again until the new season started. But I don't know if they showed them all twice. -- Ken (talk) 01:53, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
- ok, my communications library has those issues on fiche, so i'll add it to my list to spot check some air dates next time i go. -- Kate 02:04, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
