WritersEdit

Was Craig Shemin the only writer? Did he always write for the show or only starting in 1999? -- Peter (talk) 19:47, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I think it's safe to assume that any credits here apply only to the episodes produced by Jim Henson Television. And he probably wasn't the only writer, though possibly the only writer for the Muppet segments. Perchance someone out there actually has tapes of these episodes, and can check the credits. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 01:41, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Craig Shemin wasn't the only writer...just the only one realated to anything else on the wiki or with the Muppets. And Andrew is right, the credits and information here only apply to the third season (the Henson produced season on Odyssey). The first two seasons (on PBS) were almost like a different show. -- Brad D. (talk) 18:38, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
I think that should be clarified, then. I'd do it myself, but I really don't know anything about the show. Since the article is about the overall show, it should probably include information on how it changed from before Henson's involvement to after. And if it was a co-production in its third season, then all of the third-season credits would be relevant to the Wiki, not just the Muppet bits. -- Peter (talk) 16:06, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but we don't have the other credits. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 16:09, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Dates/NetworkEdit

There's some confusing info on this page. According to this report] and others, Henson's involvement with Donna's Day began in 1999, and premiered on the Odyssey Channel. The official Donna's Day site tain't much help as it itself hasn't been updated since 1999, but it implies that the "first two seasons" aired on PBS, and were I suppose just Donna Erickson with no Henson funding or Muppets. So, "it airs on PBS," is that still accurate? Are some affilliates still showing the series, and if so, the one with occasional Muppet elements or the pre-Muppet shows? Andrew Leal (talk) 00:59, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

That was me that put that in, mostly because it is almost univerally referred to as an "award-wining PBS series" and I was confused about the whole Odyssey/Hallmark thing. I suspect that the pre-1999 is all non-Henson (why else have all the fuss in 1999?), and that those are the only ones airing on PBS. I actually found some PBS affiliate news blurb from 1999 about how the new episodes would air on Odyssey but the first two seasons would continue to air on PBS. I can't find anything at all more recent on it. Did a 4th season ever air? -- Wendy (talk) 00:43, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
These are listed on the site as being Donna's emails: ddaymail@aol.com, donnasdayshow@hotmail.com -- Zanimum 19:02, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
