Henson.com's old "Featured Creature" listed him as Dog Lion. Is there a source for calling him Doglion? -- Scott Scarecroe 02:48, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
- He's mentioned by name in Of Muppets and Men, but I don't have it out right now, and can't recall whether Finch spelled it "Dog Lion" or "Doglion." It's really just a spacing change, though. --Andrew, Aleal 02:55, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
- I checked Finch, and he refers to him as "Doglion Beast," no doubt in reference to the Lesley Ann Warren sketch. So that's not a great help. I'd still probably go with Henson.com, though. --Andrew, Aleal 17:58, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- What does Palisades call him? --GrantHarding 18:00, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

- Palisades uses "Doglion": "The first month’s release includes Doglion, one of the largest full-body Muppets, who was often seen hanging out with Thog and Sweetums on The Muppet Show. This Mini Muppet marks the first appearance of Doglion in 3-D product." Of course, unlike Big Mama versus Mean Mama, here, the difference is minimal, just spacing, so maybe a note on the variants would suffice for now. --Andrew, Aleal 18:06, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- There must be a source for "Doglion", though -- it can't have come out of nowhere. We managed to trace "Big Mama" to the annual... -- Danny Toughpigs 19:47, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- Big Mama was a name variation, though. In this case, it's simply a space variation, not unlike the variant spellings of Mr. Snuffleupagus, though tracing the very first print use would probably help, yeah. --Andrew, Aleal 19:54, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Mahna Mahna
Edit
" has appeared in a remake of the famous Mahna Mahna sketch with Kermit and Sandra Bullock on Muppets Tonight!." What? Huh?
- Yeah, that's true, although I wouldn't really call it a remake. Sandra plays a psychiatrist, with Kermit as her patient. Every time he says "Phenomenon," the Snowths appear and sing "Mahna Mahna." Doglion appears in the sketch too. "Remake" is misleading; I'll change that. -- Toughpigs 13:57, 23 Dec 2005 (UTC)
The Muppet Movie
Edit
Is he the first Muppet to appear in the Muppet Movie? He'd have to be walking through the backlot in order to have that honor, and I don't remember him there.
- Yeah, he's there, go check it out. In the first few seconds, when the camera just starts to pan down from the globe, you can see him from the back, helping to push some scenery. When the camera pans down through the arch, you can see him again rounding the corner. It's really quick, but he's there. -- Toughpigs 03:41, 23 Dec 2005 (UTC)
