Date of BirthEdit

There is a birth and death date for Derek Scott on IMDB.com. I added them to this page and the Muppet Show Musicians page for now, but is IMDB usually reliable for this sort of information? They do list Mr. Scott as Rowlf's voice, after all. --Justin 00:36, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it's made more confusing because there's more than one British composer named Derek Scott (the one with the earlier erroneous picture; no image is available online of our Derek Scott). An obituary or biographical article from a music journal, which is what I used for the others, is the best source. Looking around, I can't find anything reliable, or indeed anything at all outside of IMDB. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 01:00, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I got a birth and a death date off of this link: [1] which I figured was more reliable than imdb. However, I'm new to wiki editing....how do I credit it?

A user reported a problem on this page: "The picture is not Derek Scott - don't know who it is but it certainly isn't my Dad!"

Yeah, I just took it out. It seems it is a picture of *a* Derek Scott, who is also a composer, just not the right one. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:55, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
