Axlerod or Axelrod?

Is there a source for the spelling of his last name? -- Danny (talk) 20:51, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Album labels and Christmas Eve on Sesame Street credits spell it Axlerod, and that's the spelling ASCAP's database uses. Since apparently there's a completely diferent David Axelrod in the music biz. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 21:05, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Works for me; thanks! -- Danny (talk) 22:43, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
I went ahead and fixed all of the "Axelrod"s, and there were only about 9 of them. It looks like the records have had it right all these years. The funny thing is that the Jim Henson Golden CD got it right, but a couple of Sonys were wrong! Most were right, though. And then I fixed one book with his name on the cover, since I didn't want to perpetuate a mistake, especially since that other guy's name really is spelled that way. His website looks cool, too! -- Ken (talk) 02:44, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Just came across this discussion. "Axlerod" is indeed the correct spelling. Consider that confirmed. — David (talk) 18:24, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
