Talk:Celebrities who have appeared on both The Muppet Show and Sesame Street

Possible expansion
Edit
I noticed that some of the people who were in The Muppets (2011) have been on Sesame Street. While The Muppet Show is no longer in production, I think the fact that people are now working with the Muppet Show universe again should count for something. Plus we have people that have appeared with the Muppet Show characters after 1981 who have also been on Sesame Street (like Robin Williams), and people who have done Muppets Tonight and Sesame Street (like Whoopi Goldberg). Any thoughts on this? -- Ken (talk) 22:51, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, we could go for "Celebrities who have appeared on both Muppet and Sesame Street productions"... maybe?! — Julian (talk) 00:00, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm iffy on the idea. As a second page, maybe, but this works best as its own list. Once you get beyond that though, it's not unlike our more general production crew pages. Whoopi Goldberg has done so many Muppet-related productions by now that a page isn't that useful. It might work as a kind of list in descending order from who's done the most, but still rather complicated (how does one factor in the magazines, guest appearances, etc.) Conversely, if it's done per production (i.e. The Muppets, then a list of all the folks who have been on Sesame Street, those from Muppets Tonight, Alan Arkin from Muppet Show), and maybe limited to just the movies, I could see that working. But it needs thinking out, and again, really would need to be its own page. As it stands, this page is neat without complicating it. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 07:40, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
- I know it's pretty general of me to say, but I agree with Andrew. Expanding on an established page probably isn't the best idea, but creating pages per production might work. Brad just created two new pages:
- I'm not particularly sure about the latter, but we'll see how those turn out. -- Jon (talk) 13:38, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
- I think they work best as separate lists. —Scott (message me) 20:06, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
