Correction?Edit

"Caroll Spinney was able to perform Oscar as well as Oscar's right hand." Surely this should read, "was able to perform BRUNO as well as Oscar's right hand"?JustinGann 10:33, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

The sentence intended to imply that Spinney could perform Oscar's head with one hand, and Oscar's hand with the other - Bruno's arms were stuffed and attached to the garbage can, leaving both of Spinney's hands free inside the suit to control Oscar in the mounted can. So technically, Caroll Spinney was able to perform Oscar, well as Oscar's hand, as well as Bruno!

However, shouldn't this read, :was able to perform Oscar as well as Oscar's LEFT hand"? Spinney's right hand would be in Oscar's head, and his left hand would be controling the grouch's left hand. -- Brad D. (talk) 12:26, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

YearsEdit

When I first started this article, I wrote that Bruno debuted in 1978, which would have been the tenth season (or, perhaps, the second half of the ninth season). I saw that Danny changed the debut year to season 9. I would like to know if there is a source for when he first appeared. My soruces for 1978 as his debut year are fan sites and the internet movie database. Now, this was one of the first wiki pages I worked on (I'm pretty sure it's one of my first three), and back then I don't think there were any rules against adding information found at fan sites. If there is not a known official soruce for whether he debuted ins eason 9, 10, or some other season, then we should probably leave it out (same for if we don't know of any sources for Bruno's last appearance being in season 24). --Minor muppetz 04:07, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

He forgot to leave an edit summary (we were looser about that two years ago), but looking at the date, in all likelihood Danny changed it based on the CTW archive materials, which sourced quite a few debuts when new characters were introduced and promoted.
