Henson Company and Animax Designs

Animax Designs is a puppet workshop in Nashville that has subcontracted with Henson/Sesame over the years to build a bunch of international Sesame puppets -- check out the article on Chuck Fawcett for details.

Animax's website also lists Bad Andy as one of their projects -- there's a picture of the character here, and another here. Jim Henson Productions is listed on their client list.

The Domino's press release from May 2000 (reprinted on Muppet Central) says that the character was "specially conceived for Domino's by The Jim Henson Company." It's not clear what that means, though, if the puppet was built (and possibly designed) by Animax? I don't think we have a source for who performed the puppet, so maybe it was built by Animax and performed by Henson people?

Anyway, that's what I know right now... Anybody have thoughts? -- Danny@fandom (talk) 22:20, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, regarding puppeteer, I remember that back in 2002, I looked at Allan Trautman's website, and a list of his works listed that he was an assistaant performer on the character. I was just rechecking the website, and it's obviously changed sicne I'd last been on the site, and I can't find anything there stating that he was Bad Andy (though the commerrcials section of his puppetry resume does list Domino's). --Minor muppetz 22:31, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
