Weirdo

Was Muppet Babies the first time Gonzo was referred to as a "weirdo?" Aside from I'm Going to Go Back There Someday, was there ever an explicit identity crisis about what species Gonzo was before Muppet Babies? I recall an episode of the cartoon where he tries to figure out what he is. -- Peter (talk) 19:32, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

He's a "whatever" in The Great Muppet Caper. Hm, I'm trying to think of Muppet Show examples. — Scott (talk) 19:53, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Right, but I think Muppet Babies was the first time he tried to figure out what he was. Just trying to see if anything supports that. -- Peter (talk) 20:23, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
You're probably right. I can't think of anything that stands out as a search for identity. Unless it's an obscure one-shot mention on a TMS ep I've never seen or something like that. — Scott (talk) 21:32, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
There's the whole "...whatever Gonzo is. He's kinda like a turkey" dialogue in The Muppet Movie, but that didn't come from Gonzo's personal identity crisis. — Joe (talk) 14:18, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I think the adult Gonzo has always been okay with his mysterious identity -- either just casual about it, or possibly a little proud of it. Muppet Babies was the first time it became an issue. -- Danny (talk) 15:40, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
