Formatting problems

I can't get the two quotes under "Official Statements" to align. Any thoughts?— Tom (talk) 20:01, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

They look perfectly aligned to me under various screen resolutions. What resolution are you at and browser are you using? Can you post a screenshot? —Scott (talk) 01:40, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
My screen resolution is 1680 x 1050, and the second quote looks indented, as if it has a ":" at the beginning of the line of code. The indentation persists on Chrome and Explorer, but, interestingly, if I change my screen resolution, the text appears perfectly aligned. As they say, hi ho, must be a peculiarity of my home machine. I'll check the page at work on Monday. No need to leave this as an active talk page.— Tom (talk) 02:35, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Sketches

FYI, this article is the #2 result on Google right now for Ernie and Bert and Bert and Ernie. The #1 result is the Bert and Ernie article on Wikipedia which is about the duo and their history. So I thought it would be helpful to add a link to our E&B Sketches category at the top of the article, which I've just done. —Scott (talk) 04:32, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

That's a good idea. Also -- that's hilarious. We changed the title of the article so that it would show up better in Google. I guess it worked! -- Danny@Wikia (talk) 04:44, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, we got similar results with Are Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy married? and I'm hoping for something similar with Is Cookie Monster now the Veggie Monster? which I just moved. —Scott (talk) 05:04, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
That's a great idea, yay. -- Danny@Wikia (talk) 15:56, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

real skits?

The 1994 quote from Reverend Chambers is interesting to me. It would be fun to link his statements to the sketches he speaks of, but I can't find them on the wiki. My best guess for tending plants (so gay!) is Little Plant, but that's just Ernie. No idea what the sewing sketch could be. Do these exist and we just don't have them on the wiki yet? —Scott (talk) 01:29, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

My guess is they're completely made up. I don't think anybody learns how to sew on Sesame Street; pre-school kids aren't usually encouraged to play with needles. -- Danny@Wikia (talk) 01:34, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
That's the point I'm trying to drive at. They sound entirely made up. —Scott (talk) 02:11, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Yup, I'm with you. -- Danny@Wikia (talk) 04:08, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Marrie

What about the movie cinderelmo? There they are a bit fighting about who shall merrie the princes. Isn't this also a clue they both like to marrie someday? (Pino 11:04, 25 December 2008 (UTC))

Move

Have you ever heard Bert and Ernie refered to as 'Ernie and Bert'? I think it should be moved to consist with the way it's been said for years!--Hornetman16 19:14, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Sure, there's lots of em. See "Bert and Ernie" vs. "Ernie and Bert". —Scott (talk) 19:16, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Comic

I was going to add this, but wasn't sure if it'd fit...would it fit in Parodies? http://cagle.msnbc.com/news/2003Cagle1/10.asp Scooter 14:10, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

That's fab. I just added it to the Daryl Cagle page -- he's done a lot of Muppet/Sesame art, so it's funny to see him include the Sesame characters in his editorial cartoons. I'll make Parodies into Parodies & References, and then link to that... -- Danny (talk) 14:18, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Text from Snopes

  • Greg posted the following text in this article. Most of it is a thinly disguised lift from Snopes.com. There's useful information here, but it needs to be rewritten in our own words. The last couple of quotes aren't from Snopes -- I'd like to have them verified by somebody, because that Ernie quote sounds fishy to me. Would someone with more patience like to take a crack at this? -- Toughpigs 04:07, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • I added sources for the quotes. -- Scarecroe 16:27, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
