We don't allow commercial links here, but Sesame Workshop's got a store up on Amazon.com now. Would anyone object to including the link here so long as it's not directly to a product? —Scott (talk) 18:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I think it's appropriate in that case. Our approach is actually more complicated than just "no commercial links", but we've never really said it explicitly. We do allow links on company pages to official sites that sell products, like the link on American Greetings. We also link to sites like Muppets.com which link to Amazon.

What we don't want is links for specific products -- "you can find this here" type stuff -- or links to fan stores or Ebay stores.

Because this is an official Sesame Workshop store, I think it's appropriate to link to it. It's not much different from linking to the official Sesame Workshop site, which I'm sure includes this Amazon store as a tab on their main page. -- Danny (talk) 14:50, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
