Why was the sesamstraat exibits link removed? Now when your brouwsing through sesamstraat you cant link to the exibits anymore? (Greetings Paul 21:48, 7 July 2009 (UTC))
- The category was deleted (and a discussion should proabbly have been raised before its creation anyway). Danny explained in his summary, we don't need to break up Category:Exhibits and though things have lapsed, we still try not to mix categories and subcats. As far as I can tell, there's only two of them, and one currently in development, so feel free to note those in the Sesamstraat article itself, in a little section if you like, but it's too small to justify a subcat. You may recall we've waited on all the various international stuff before breaking out, until there were enough items to justify a specific category (for books, videos, etc.) Exhibits, internationally and otherwise, Henson, Sesame Street, Muppet Show, Creature stuff, or Sesamstraat, just total 28 at the moment. - I have included the Sesamstraat Secion again because there where several exhibitions Ive added the one Iam working on and there will be wo more adds later. (Greetings Paul 15:29, December 6, 2009 (UTC))
- Hi Paul. Please don't recreate categories without discussion. Three still doesn't seem like enough (or even 4) and just about all have Sesamstraat in the title so they're easily found and you can link them directly on Sesamstraat. We've tried to avoid both mixing subcats and categories except when necessesary and creating a subdivision when there's not much to populate it. Creating Sesamstraat Exhibits basically pushes us to try to break up everything else, when I think it's still easier and more effective to keep it all as is. I'll let others weigh in, but just as a reminder, Paul, next time you wonder, add the note and question *first* (especially if it's a previously deleted category) and then create if there's a consensus (rather than going ahead and letting us know you've done it). -- Andrew Leal (talk)
