Character Debuts

I'm glad Dean is fleshing out the Character Debuts section, which is great. But right now, it also seems a bit excessive. It seems to me the list might work best if limited to recurring or otherwise significant characters. I'm not sure Bird Dancers, who appeared twice in one season, are worth noting, and I especially question "more Whatnots are added" or "more Cows," since really, those are less character debuts than they are generic *puppet* debuts. Actually, I went through and fixed a few of the other pages. I'd still like to be selective, but I made a division between "Recurring Characters" and "Recurring Background Characters." It looks a *little* better, but even then, I'd sort of like to drop the nameless ones, like Deer. Also, I'm not sure one-shot special characters need to be mentioned. Yeah, we love Alice Otter, but unless one counts her The Muppet Movie cameo, that's it. Special characters like Rover Joe, later recycled in other productions, those are worth mentioning. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 16:31, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
