I have recently read in a post at Muppet Central that the number one didn't actually start sponsoring the show untill the 1980s. Does anybody know exactly what year it started becommign a sponsor? I know that there were segments for this number in earlier years (Harvey Kneeslappers prank involving the number one, The Baker Film for the number one, etc), I guess one segments were shown without the number sponsoring the show. If it's true that one wasn't a sponsor for so long, then that would explain why most early recurring number segments (Jazz Numbers, Pinball Number Count, etc) didn't have their own segments for the number one. --Minor muppetz 15:07, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
