Several sites (including the ever uncredible imdb.com) list the following trivia note for the show Muppet Babies. "In the credits, Weird Al Yankovic's name was misspelled as Wierd Al". I did some searching across the web and could find no record of Al (or any of his songs or videos) being used in Muppet Babies. My knowledge on Muppet Babies episodes (especially what music/video clips were used) is limited (and so is the whole web in general). So the question is, was Al's music or videos ever used in an episode of Muppet Babies (the show was on during the height of his rise to fame and they liked to reference pop-culture)? If so, what was used and in what episode? Oh, and was his name spelled wrong when credited? I'm just wondering if there is any truth to this or if these online databases just have their facts wrong (which would not be a first). -- Brad D. (talk) 04:49, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks to the wonderfully kind folks in the Weird Al fan forums, I found out some more information on this issue. A clip from Al's "Eat It" music video was featured in an episode of Muppet Babies, and the credit misspelling tidbit is true. However their fanbase has no clue exactly which episode used said clip. So does anyone here know which episode of Muppet Babies featured a clip from Al's "Eat It" music video? -- Brad D. (talk) 08:46, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- tv.com says Wierd Al has a cameo in "Episode 409: Twinkle Toe Muppets"; I also saw someone posting in a forum who claimed that the "Eat It" clip was in that episode. That's also the one where they use the "Beat It" clip, so it's either a confusion thing, or makes some sense. I can't find anything more official though. Perhaps if somebody has a copy of the episode they could go check. -- Wendy (talk) 16:48, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
