"Sweet Adeline" is a Barbershop standard, which became a hit for The Quaker City Four in 1904. Its popular use continued in many avenues. President Kennedy's grandfather used it as his theme song for his campaigns for Mayor of Boston and The Marx Brothers performed the song in their 1931 film Monkey Business.
The song is performed by a Barbershop Quartet of pigs in the Elmo's World episode "Singing".
