The Swedish Chef's kitchen was the third playset released by Palisades Toys in honor of The Muppet Show's 25th anniversary. This playset had the most accessories and features, including cupboards with opening doors and drawers, a refrigerator and a stove with many working doors, and a telephone.

The Swedish Chef figure wore a blue striped shirt and a magnetic hat. The Talking Cake was based on a sketch from episode 120.

An exclusive Culinary Catastrophe Swedish Chef Action Figure was released later. In series nine, a Swedish Chef Action Figure was released, the figure included a basketball hoop accessory, which could clip onto the kitchen playset. The Chef figure from the kitchen playset set was also available at the Palisades Collector's Club for a limited time.

Originally, this figure was going to have his hat permaneantly sculpted to the figure, because the Jim Henson Company wanted him to wear his hat in the packaging, but after the Jim Henson Company saw how strong other magnetic hats in the line were, Palisades was given approval to have the Swedish Chef's hat be removable from the figure. [citation needed] Every Swedish Chef figure from Palisades wore his hat in the packaging, and he was the only Muppet to do so. (All other Muppet figures with removable hats didn't wear their hats inside the packaging.)
