"Surfin' Bird" is a song recorded in 1963 by the Trashmen. Actually a medley of two established songs ("Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" and "The Bird's the Word"), the single placed 4th on the Bilboard Hot 100 and was prominently featured in the film Full Metal Jacket.
